Come and support local queer talent on Thursday 9 May at the Victorian Pride Centre for Pitch, Pleez!
Watch emerging Australian LGBTQIA+ filmmakers take to the stage to pitch their ideas for short fiction films, documentaries or web series pilots.
Each finalist has just 5 minutes to pitch their project in front of a jury of industry experts, and the winner is decided on the night!
The winning pitch will be awarded the following;
• $10,000 cash prize to help fund the project
• Premiere status at the Opening Night of the 2025 Melbourne Queer Film Festival
• An All-In-Pass to the 2025 Melbourne Queer Film Festival
For 35 years, MQFF has proudly supported and fostered local queer filmmaking talent through initiatives like this. We'd love to see you and your film buff friends there to celebrate a wealth of queer talent and cheer our finalists on.
Entry is FREE, but bookings are essential.
